It is also time for the SWCD's spring fish sale. The district will be selling fish fingerlings from Fender's Fish Hatchery for stocking in Ohio waters only. Orders for the 2023 fish sale will be taken until March 28, 2023. The pickup date will be April 4, 2023 between 12:30 and 2PM. Pickup will take place in the parking lot of Kent State University's Salem Campus, located at 2491 St Rt 45, Salem, OH 44460.
Orders must be picked up at the specified time. On the day of pickup, you will need to bring container(s) of pond water at the rate of 5-10 gallons of water per 100 fish. Amur and Koi require 5 gallons of water for every 2 fish. Minnows require 5 gallons of water for every 1,000 fish. Line your container with a new plastic liner/garbage bag before adding water and tying the liner shut (no lids!). See attached order form and contact the office with questions.
